Rice Pilaf

PREPARATION
- Wash rice in cold water and drain well. Set aside.
- Preheat oil in a deep skillet or a thick, uncovered Presto®- style pot.
- Over medium heat, soften the onion for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the rice and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously to avoid sticking. Do not brown.
- Add the chicken broth, bay leaves and Provence herbs. Stir continuously for 1-2 minutes.
- Cover and cook for 15-18 minutes, or until rice is ready to taste. Stir frequently.
- Remove the bay leaves and serve.
NOTES:
Rice pilaf goes with any white meat (poultry, pork and fish), as well as grilled sausages.
